New Online Courses Available on Training Post in April!

ONLINE TRAINING COURSES AVAILABLE IN APRIL

Three e-courses will be offered over a 3-week period beginning the last week of March.

March 29 - April 4

April 5 - 11

April 12 - 18

The courses below will be available on LLO’s Training Post Online Classroom in April for Laubach volunteer tutors, trainers and practitioners, on a first-come, first-served basis. Each class size is limited to five trainees. Registration Deadline is March 19, 2010.

# 1: Introduction to ESL

Target audience: tutors, tutor-trainers, practitioners

# 2: Introduction to Learning Difficulties

Facilitator: Robyn Cook-Ritchie, Literacy Consultant

Target audience: tutors, tutor-trainers, practitioners

# 3: Essential Skills for Literacy Practitioners—The Supervising Trainer

Facilitator: Lana Faessler, Certified Supervising Trainer

Target audience: Apprentice Supervising Trainers and Supervising Trainers wishing a refresher course.

Schedule:

These courses take place over a three week period, with a minimum expectation of two hours each week.

For two of the courses, you can access the training on the Moodle platform at a time convenient to you, read the materials, do the assignments, and participate in discussion forums.

The Supervising Trainer course will have at least one opportunity to "talk" live with the group and two facilitators at a scheduled time during the evening
